City of Fort Myers Ward 1 Council Office, and Recreation Division with the Youth Services Coalition invite you to “Stomp the Violence” on Friday, June 12, 2009 at Billy Bowlegs Park located at 951 Marsh Avenue near Lee Middle School. The event begins at 6:00 pm and admission is FREE.

“Stomp the Violence” is a fun-filled teen and family event emphasizing the message to stop violence and crime within our neighborhoods and communities. Special Guests include; former NBA player Walt Wesley, TV Personality Lee Pitts, NFL players Earnest Graham of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jevon Kearse of the Tennessee Titans.

The event will also showcase partner organizations and agencies that provide services and programs for our youth. Hundreds of dollars of cash and prizes will be given away throughout the evening. Free Hot Dog combos for youth under 18!

In an effort to promote talent and creativity, as well as team spirit, the event will include a competition between local step-dance teams with $200 for the winning team.
